Thanks for taking a look on my profile. A little background about me to understand my engagement as a hubber. In fact I am a mix of several passions – not to mention our 4 grown up children and 6 grandchildren ? . My weakness is also my strength I think: being interested in a lot of good things can mean difficulties keeping focussed and efficient but can also mean being able to combine knowledge from different fields of interest. For example I have a long term interest in memory tools and mechanisms related to the development of mental ownership, a very useful knowledge in many connections. And I work with a variety of websites.

As a nature freak since childhood I decided to be trained as a scientist with a major in biology and ecology. For +30 years I have been an educational researcher and teacher at a university with special interest in environmental education (EE) and in later years in Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), all reflected in my Blogger Blogs.
 
From my boyhood I have been interested seriously in photography and during the last 30 years I have sold stock photos all over the world more or less – except south of Sahara.

My duties at work and my interest in photography as well as my interest in nature and foreign countries have given me the opportunity to travel abroad, in average once every month for many years, see http://islandvacationtips.com. I have also worked in Thailand through 4 years part time and have had long term engagement in Hungary, too.

Married to a medical doctor (plastic surgery) in 40 years means that I have been involved in many health related issues and discussions at home.

We are living outside Copenhagen in Denmark, and my native Danish name is Søren Breiting, translated to English as Soren Breiting, what I use for hubpages and international in general, see articles and my Squidoo lenses, e.g. Endemic Birds.
